Description bobharvey 2005-08-08 12:35:58 UTC
I got this file from my office, and had to dig out my old copy of Word97 to read
it. There is every chance it was created in word 97.

The frames within it do not position correctly in OOo.

Comment 4 Regina Henschel 2005-08-08 14:16:59 UTC
There are once again the ww6-frames. But I don't know, if the error has the same
reason as in issue 52078.
Comment 5 michael.ruess 2005-08-09 07:29:35 UTC
This problem is not the same, but quite similar to issue 52078. Again, here are
these old WinWord frames which have "around wrapping" which is really "optimal
wrapping". But here, there are two of these frames next to each other, which
makes Word not to wrap the frames, because there's not enough space between the
frames. Writer works a bit differently here.
When giving "no wrap" to the frames in Writer after import of this document, the
problem can be workarounded.

MRU->OD: as discussed, to consider for successor of OO 2.0.

Any thoughts, or progress?
Comment 8 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2006-07-03 07:15:09 UTC
Currently no progress, because I hadn't been decided, if and how this
compatibility issue has to be handled.
Comment 9 bobharvey 2008-03-02 07:56:51 UTC
Decisions take a long time, don't they?
Comment 10 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2008-03-06 12:31:43 UTC
No progress on this issue, mainly because of lack of resources. No progress has
the following reasons:
- Target of this issue is OOo Later. Thus, I have got hundreds of issues on
earlier targets, on which I have to work on before.
- Workaround exists for this issue.
- Issue does not seem to be serious, because since its existence no duplicate
issue has be filled and no vote on this issue has been made.

I am sorry, that I did not had the time to work on this issue in the past.
