Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 53715
Impress: (Animated) objects are doubled from 1.1.4 to m122
Last modified: 2005-11-11 08:36:50 UTC
I have a problem with a presentation, which was created in Version 1.1.4 (I'll attach an example). Please have a look at the animations of sheet 1: Behaviour in 1.1.4/1.1.5: 15 objects with animations, you have to click 14 times to go to the next sheet Behaviour in m122: There are now 30 objects with animations, it needs 28 clicks to go to the next sheet. The animations are compared to 1.1.x very slow, although there are only 2 sheets in the presentation It seems to me, that there is a problem, if the objects are grouped.
Created attachment 29017 [details] presentation with animated objects
Reproducible. A lot of clicks (extremly at the end) seem to not have any effects.
@cl: please take over, this is an import problem. We should consider this for one of the minor releases, looks badly broken.
setting keywords. This is a bad regression.
I now can reproduce this with new documents. It seems that the problem is caused by animations within a group. Try it this way: 1. Create a new presentation in 1.1.4 2. Insert some objects and apply effects 3. Group this objects and apply an effect for the group Behaviour in 1.1.4: Only one effect (of the group) is shown Behaviour in m122: The effects within the group are additionally listed, but not performed So a workaround could be to remove the effects from the objects within the group. But I think too, that this is a regression and not very comfortable for users to go over many presentations to get them ready for OOo 2.0.
jrahemipour is correct, OOo 1.x.x ignored all effects on shape inside group. This will become worse since for OOo 2.0.1 we have fixed the issue that animations on shapes inside groups do not work in OOo 2.0 (even if we wait on click here). I will fix this that when importing from OOo 1.x, we will remove all effects on shapes inside groups. This way we will have identical behaviour in OOo 1.x and OOo 2.0.x
Fixed in cws impress70, all set methods in class EffectMigration now check if the shape is inside a group and do nothing if this is the case.
verified on cws, back to qa re-open issue and reassign to wg@openoffice.org
