Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 54528
shortcut keys don't work when operating with sylist & navigator
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:31:14 UTC
there are a couple of scenarios when manipulating with stylist & navigator windows results in shortcut keys not working. (might be connected window manager ? reproducible with kde 3.4.2) shortcut keys tried : f5, f11, ctrl+o, ctrl+s, ctrl+p - probably no shortcut keys work. 1. shade one of these dialogs, try using shortcut keys. if the dialog that currently has focus is shaded, none of these keys work, no matter wether other window is shaded or unshaded, visible or not. 2. dock one of these windows. undock it - none of shortcut keys work, even though main widnow (writer, calc, etc) clearly has focus.
@richlv: I don't understand the problem, please contribute a more detailled step by step instruction how to reproduce the problem!
both scenarios still reproducible with m180. scenario 1 : open a new writer document. enable either stylist or navigator. shade the window (by default - doubleclick on the titlebar). try using any one of the shortcut keys - they do not work. scenario 2 : open a new writer document, enable either stylist or navigator. dock it, then undock it. try using any one of the shortcut keys - they do not work. reproduced using kde 3.5.4.
No problem reproducible with with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]"
i don't think windows has window shading, at least it didn't when i last saw one :)
Confirming with OO2.2 on Suse 10.2 - as described in scenario2 (WinXP is unaffected). Navigator pane seems to ignore keystrokes after dock-undock. Clicking into main edit window restores Writer's ability to act on shortcuts.
TM->MRU: please have a look, thanks !
I only reproduce this problem on Linux / KDE. When undocking the Navigator or the Stylist the focus seems to be somewhere in noman's land. No keystrokes will reach OOo. Clicking into the App window will workaround the problem.
