Description prabahy 2005-10-24 21:06:20 UTC
I imported a large (180 meg) .ppt file to openoffice v1.??. I then saved it as a
.sxi file and it worked fine. Now I got a new computer and installed openoffice
v2.0. Everything in the design mode works fine. When I press F5 the presentation
worked slowly for about 5 to 10 seconds. Then the computer does a hard crash
(reliably) and reboots. When it starts up windows error reporting says that the
ATI graphics card had a generic error. I have the ATI Radeon Express 200 Series
with driver version 6.14.10.6553.
Should I also report this bug to them (ATI)?
If any more information is needed please contact me.

As a test I saved it in the opendocument presentation format and the same error
happens.

Perhaps you should download the latest ATI drivers and see if that resolves
the issue.

If not, provide the crash report.

Reassigned.
Comment 4 prabahy 2005-10-29 05:07:49 UTC
I updated the graphics card driver, as recomended, and the problem still
happens. Where is the crash report stored so that I can submit it? I am willing
to do what is needed to fix this.

Please tell me if the slowly running slide contains an slide transition effect
If there is an slide transition please tell me which transition it is..
Comment 6 prabahy 2005-10-31 20:49:08 UTC
It is the first slide in the show. It transitions to the next slide using the
Venetian Blinds Horizontal. After updating the driver it gets farther. It shows
the first few lines of pixels of the next slide, then crashes. Before none of
the new slide would show before it crashed.
Comment 7 christian.guenther 2005-11-01 08:55:51 UTC
Please have a look if the presentation still crashes when you remove the slide
transitions.
Comment 8 christian.guenther 2005-12-15 16:32:25 UTC
I don't get an answer for more then 1 month.
Therefore I close the bug as invalid.
PLease reopen the issue when you have some more information for me.
Comment 9 christian.guenther 2005-12-15 16:33:10 UTC
