Description burg1 2005-10-28 12:14:25 UTC
Feature request:
At the moment you can only hyphenate a word where OOo suggests. My request: Make
it possible to manually enter a conditional hyphen in the hyphenation dialog,
anywhere in the word.
Judging from my (limited) programming knowledge, this should be fairly easy to
implement, since it only affects the hyphenation dialog.
Thank you!

That is already possible, use Insert > Formatting Mark > Optional Hyphen or Ctrl+-.
You need no hyphenation dialog.

I DO need the hyphenation dialog, when I want to hyphenate an entire document.
Or are you serious in telling me to hyphenate some 500 pages manually line by
line? ;-)
Here's my request again: Make it possible to manually enter a conditional
hyphen in the hyphenation dialog, anywhere in the word. This is not possible
now, since it would require you to close the hyphenation dialog and enter the
conditional hyphen manually, then restart the hyphenation dialog to continue.
Reopening the issue.
