Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5705
Export presentation to HTML: allow manual image quality
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
The gif or jpg files that Autopilot produces are not able to render in a decent way the images originally included in the presentation. No matter if you choose gif or jpg, 640x480 or 1024x768. (the worst results are obtained with presentations including screenshot images) On the other hand the export operation of a single slide into a single gif or jpg gives beautiful results. I hope this would be an easy bug to fix, since this feature is very important to many professional users (and also beacause Powerpoint has not this defect and I won't be able to convince people that OO is a better option than Powerpoint). Many thanks in advance, Marco PS Skilled people in my company would be happy to help fixing this bug.
Set to new.
Reassigned to Sven.
Currently the resolution of the exported jpeg/gif depends to the resolution which is chosen for the display. Display Picture 1024*768-> 800*600 800*600 -> 640*480 640*480 -> 512*384 This is working on my OO 1.0 version, and of course the qualtity is not bad, the qualitity is well optimized to be displayed within the html page. html is displaying in pixel units and our generated pictures does fit. So if we now raise the quality of the exported pictures it will be a new feature which has to be clarified to the user if he is using our dialog. Because this is a new feature, this Issue is reassigned to Falko.
Allow image qiuality control on HTML Export of Presentations. Like in the export filter for JPEG file format we should allow the user to define the rate of quality loss.
.
I believe this issue is fixed in the current OOo generation (2.2). It is possible to specify image format (png/gif/jpeg), and specify jpeg quality. Marking as fixed. ->'mbarulli', please comment whether the latest version of OOo fixes this Issue for you. Cheers.
