Description plasmasam 2005-11-10 11:42:40 UTC
Controls in a slide (e.g. pushbutton) do not generate any action (e.g. when
clicked by mouse) when in fullscreen mode.

To reproduce this: create new slide, insert button, assign some macro to
mouseclick. Macro will be executed in windowed (edit) mode. In fullscreen,
impress will proceed to next slide as if background was clicked.

This is the status as of m138. Otherwise, the display of form controls is
correct now (since cov2src patches in m135, issue 54364) but this new bug was
probably introduced there.

Reproducible. Reassigned. This worked in OOo2.0.
Comment 2 thb 2005-11-10 15:27:07 UTC
@cl: please have a look. Seems that sd does not register any shape event
listener for the controls.
Comment 3 flibby05 2005-11-10 21:40:37 UTC
@cl, thb: sceduled for 2.0.2? i hope not, otherwise you do willingly ship 2.0.1
with a regression to 2.0

@maxweber: Yeah, give them, lazy sacks ! :-)))

@cl->maxweber: in OOo 2.0 we painted the controls horrible wrong. I would not
call that useable even if you could click on that painted garbage.
We had to drop this feature for now mainle because we added support for hardware
accelerated slideshows. I think a feature that many user waited for and not much
users are using controls for slideshows.
Sure we will readd this feature, but the target milestone depends on our
workload and other priorities. It is not that easy...

I have no idea yet how to fix this for all possible plattforms. Maybe one
solution is to disable hardware acceleration if there are any forms in the document.
But I have no time resources to do this in the OOo 2.0.2 time frame. I retarget
it to OOo 3.0, but maybe it is doable for OOo 2.0.3

changing target

retarget

With this feature I (and other people) would be able to program eLearning
learning units with impress.

That is possible with MS PPT, too - but the programming is much more easier in
Java or Basic than it would be with MS PPT (I am just trying to do exactly that).

With this feature Impress will get much more well known ... :-)
Comment 10 clippka 2010-02-23 17:55:04 UTC
reassigned, please consider if we ever update the slideshow code
Comment 11 Martin Hollmichel 2011-02-07 11:41:57 UTC
since this is a regression by design, I suggest to reset the keyword regression,
set the type from DEFECT to ENHANCEMENT and set new owner requirements.

A solution for this issue needs some fundamental changes in the slideshow and
the canvas code. Fixing it is thus a long term effort. Some preliminary work
has already been done.

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
