In OOo 2.0.1-RC4 (m145) Italian, the Help-About dialog shows:

Questo prodotto e' stato creato da " OOO_VENDOR " sulla base di OpenOffice.org
  meaning
This product has been created by " OOO_VENDOR " based on OpenOffice.org

So "OOO_VENDOR" is not resolved to "Sun Microsystems Inc." as expected.

Not a release stopper for me, but it could be for Sun!

(680m5 build 9036).

Ivo: yes. Does the same applies to zh-CN as well?

Quotes around OOO_VENDOR should be escaped in svx/source/intro/localize.sdf

Can we made translator aware of the fact that this string has to be translated
using brain as well? ;-)

Happened for it, vi and zh-CN.

Maybe we should rework it and replace with inline %OOO_VENDOR and replace this
mark programatically...

while fixing this in Italian I saw that this is wrong in Chinese Simplified as
