Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 59387
No-width optional break indicator invisible except at large point sizes
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:38:26 UTC
When a "no-width optional break" formatting mark is inserted, OOo is supposed to show an small slash-like mark so that the user can distinguish the no-width optional break from other formatting marks. See the spec for issue #42660. The problem is that on Windows, at a resolution of 1024x768, this slash-like mark is invisible at 14 points and below.

Reassigned to SBA.
SBA: Reassigned to FME.
FME->james_clark: There are two values, which determine the size and position of the "no-width optional break" mark: Escapement and proportion of the font. I set the escapement to "automatic subscript" and the proportion to 40%. I attached a new document with a couple of words, each containing a "no-width optional break" mark and a regular / formatted with "automatic subscript" and 40% proportion (Format - Character - Position). Please have a look and try some different values. Which values would you suggest?

No feedback -> OOo later.
FME->anyone: Feel free to change the target, if you can give me the required information to fix this issue.
