Description jjc 2006-01-04 19:30:01 UTC
Multilingual Thai/English Windows installation sets including both the
Sun-generated one at:

http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/2.0.1rc4/OOo_2.0.1rc3_051210_Win32Intel_install_th.exe

and locally generated ones fail on Thai Windows Me and Windows 98 with an error
(in Thai) about failing to apply the transform.

This is an error from msiexec.exe, when it's called by setup.exe. Just
installing openofficeorg20.msi works fine.

The problem appears to be that the .msi and .mst files use different code pages
for their summary information set. (You can see this by trying to apply the
transformation with the msitran utility).

of @ is: Is there someting that you can do or is it something for the thai OOo
community?
Comment 4 ingo.schmidt-rosbiegal 2006-01-05 15:04:06 UTC
IS: Nice patch, using the "f" option for msitran.exe. I also fixed this by using
"0" for the english codepage, if english is automatically added to a language
not supported by the Windows installer
-> Fixed in cws native35

Where can I find the m150 snapshot Thai/English installation set?
I look at http://oootranslation.services.openoffice.org/pub/OpenOffice.org/
and can't find it there. I wan't to review the fix and other problems with
multilingual installation set.

@ pjanik: Is it possible to build en_us_th bilingual installation files for
verification and closing this issue?
Comment 15 Olaf Felka 2006-01-31 08:20:22 UTC
Thank you, Pavel!!
James, can you have a look with your environment to verify the fixes?
Comment 16 samphan 2006-02-01 08:51:49 UTC
I've verified the build
http://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/680/SRC680_m153/Build-1/OOo_2.0_windows_install_en-US_th.exe

It works fine on my Windows 98 (and XP SP2).
The issue 60796 also have been fixed.

Thanks to all.
Comment 18 pavel 2006-02-01 08:57:56 UTC
samphan, james_clark: is Thai to be built as dual installer by default? Right
now, the build process is producing only Thai installation set, not en-US_th...

If so, please file new issue.
Comment 19 samphan 2006-02-01 10:12:42 UTC
Yes. Issue 61465.
