Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 60950
Conditional text fails with DB-field condition based on queries
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:20:06 UTC
If a conditional text (or hidden text / hidden character) is defined and the condition is based on a database field, this will not work, if the source is a view. It's ok with tables or views. see attached examples: - use testdb.odb as data source - use doctestdb.odt for testing the fields as long as you use Abfrage1 as Datsource, condtional and hidden texts are not updated. If you use "Tabelle1" or "View1", the fields are ok (use Edit - Exchange Datebase to use the table or view). This has been reported for OOo 2.0.1 and is still reproducable in m150

Reassigned to ES.
Works for me with OOo 2.0.0 (680m3).
ES->OS: Broken since OOo 2.0.1.
Already in 2.0 there where several Problems. Hidden paragraphs worked fine in normal mail merge but did not in documents in which is set an field "next record" like in labels-documents. While the view on the screen which "data to fields" works fine, the hidden paragraphs are empty if you print them via the dialog -> print -> print form letter. After proceeding also the fields on the screen are now empty. In OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 even the view on the screen works anymore. I tried this whith an mysql-database an several querys. Whith tables it workes fine. Due to the mysql-database I can't attach an example.

Target changed to 2.x
This issue can be closed I think.
target 3.x helgekraak: why do you think that this issue can be closed?!
Sorry, I was probably wrong. I thought of conditional text fields based on queries. I had an issue with this which was solved. Sorry again!
