Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 61013
Items get hidden as you edit other items
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:55:28 UTC
Load up the odp at that URL in ooimpress; now place the caret anywhere in the text of 'join' and hit return. As you do that the boxes of text below that disappear for me and only return when you've completed the text editing. This makes it really hard to line stuff up.
Created attachment 33451 [details] An impress slide where some text disappears when you edit some of the rest
which boxes disappear? The text box which the join is in covers the other text boxes and thus its content covers the other boxes (spaces are content just like other characters, so they are not transparent)
Reproducible. Reassigned.
Sorry, wrong owner.
Please have a look at this.
Lars: The other boxes still disappear if they are brought to the front; so it isn't an ordering issue. Either way, what is visible normally should be visible while editing a piece of text.
This Issue requires more information ('needmoreinfo'), but has not been updated within the last year. Please re-test with one of the latest versions of OOo - the problem(s) may have already been addressed. Either use the recent stable version: http://download.openoffice.org/index.html or consider trying the new OOo 3 BETA (still in testing): http://download.openoffice.org/3.0beta/ Please report back the outcome so this Issue may be closed or progressed as necessary - otherwise it may be Resolved as Invalid in the future. You may also wish to search for (and note) any duplicates of this Issue that may have advanced further : http://www.openoffice.org/issues/query.cgi Many thanks, Andrew Cleaning-up and Closing old Issues as part of: ~ The Grand Bug Squash, pre v3 ~
I'm not clear why this is marked as needsmoreinfo; it still happens on 3.0beta To be specific if you click between the o&i of join and hit return the boxes disappear. (The boxes don't seem to be rendered as nicely on 2.4 - maybe a font change of some type - hmm, anyway, that's separate).
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
