Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 61803
slow printing with certain spreadsheet
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:11:23 UTC
To reproduce: 1. Open attached spreadsheet 2. To go sheet Jan 06 3. Highlight A3 to J3 (or some other row) 4. File->Print ** First problem: The system pauses for several seconds 5. Click Selection 6. Click OK ** Second problem: The system pauses for several seconds Notes: On a Pentium II, the pauses take about 1 minute to print a single row with OOo 2.0.1. However, with OOo 1.1.5 it takes about 10 seconds. So, both are slow, but the newer is worse. During the pauses, there is high CPU usage. Tested with these systems: - Pentium II, Fedora Core 3, OOo 2.0.1 - Pentium II, Fedora Core 3, OOo 1.1.5 - Dual Opteron 252s , Fedora Core 4, OOo 2.0.1

Confirm on Fedora Core 4 with fast AMD Athlon 3000 CPU and with OOo 2.0m155 from RPMs. Takes 5 seconds to display print dialog and 9 more seconds to print a small selection. Takes only 5 seconds to just start OOo /and/ load the spreadsheet.
