Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 62451
Font selection box shows font size with comma (or dot) not correctly
Last modified: 2006-05-25 17:57:52 UTC
Choosing a font size with comma does not work in the font selection box. If you enter "12,3" as font size, it still shows "12" in the icon tray. When you use the menu format -> font, it is shown correctly. This bug has been fixed in m155 oder m156 of Pavel Janik's build, but now does not work again in 2.0.2rc2/rc3.
Confirmed with OOo2.0.2rc3 pt_br Win98SE. Hwoarang
@ sba: Please have a look.
Seems to work again in m5. Not always the wanted font size is used/shown, i.e. 12,1 instead of 12,2, but I don't know if that is by intent.
SBA: Depending on the locale settings, the decimal seperator may be a dot as well However, I tried a StarOffice 680m157 on Linux and 680m158 on Windows. It does occur. Even when I choose the SELECTABLE font size of 10,5 , then the font in the document changes accordingly, but the font size selection seems to jump back to 10. Looking at Format-Character-Font shows 10,5 again and can set 12,3 or the like. This worked fine in OOo 1.1.5 / So 7 PP6 (although the font size box was very narrow...) -> Regression, setting keyword, changing summary accordingly SBA->OS: Target OOo 2.03 may be discussed... But a regression "in the center of the users view" is worth a second look.
Interesting fact: Pavel's m5 does NOT seem to have this bug (it shows the comma, but it sometimes "rounds" the value, see above). Sun's m5 DOES have this bug.
That's because Pavel added the fix to issue 47142 to his build. I assumed he would check in the fix - but he didn't *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 47142 ***
