Description filipg 2006-03-04 04:03:11 UTC
The spelling dialog is very inconsistent when handling uppercase suspected words
than lowercase words (with otherwise identical spelling). Attached is a trigger
file that explains all.

Specifically, lowercase words are shown in the context of the text-block they
appear in (making interactive spelling correction productive) but uppercase
words are treated in a much different way which makes such work very tedious.
Hard to describe.

1. Enable spell-checking of uppercase words
(Tools->Options->Language Settings->Language Aids->Options->Check uppercase words)
2. Select next paragraph and fire up Spellcheck (F7). Keep clicking "Ignore
Once" - it "chops" uppercase phrases *very differently* from lowercase phrases
(which are otherwise identical in spelling) making it very easy to get *very*
confused very fast:

blah blah study which was coded using '..' to show relationships blah blah
shi..dv blah and shj..dv are not the same but shi..dv is the same blah blah blah
blah SHI..DV blah and SHJ..DV are not the same but SHI..DV is the same blah blah
blah blah

Have fun
