Description gaute 2002-07-04 12:20:12 UTC
The file basic/source/app/basic.src contains some German strings
in the English help texts, as for example:

  HELPTEXT = "Dateien öffnen, schließen und drucken";
  HELPTEXT [ english_us ] = "Dateien öffnen, schließen und drucken";

This confuses our translators ;-)

If I search for "öffnen" in HELP for 1.1beta2, I can not find anything.

FIXED?
Comment 2 gaute 2003-06-18 09:38:25 UTC
The HelpText field is obsolete, according to this page:
http://l10n.openoffice.org/extract_merge.html

There are still quite a few HelpTexts around in *.src files.
If they're not used anymore, they should all be deleted.

I can't find any German strings anymore in 1.1beta2, and
the file basic.src which I referred to seems to have been
cleaned up already.

I set on NEW for check *.src files.

Anybody shold feel free to close this issue after check of *.src files.

SBA->Rainer: It doesn't get us anywhere to work as you proposed. We'd
end up in far too many minor "It would be nice..." issues thus losing
the overview and focus for important (user relevant) issues.
I will close this one. Anybody may feel free to dig further and deeper
into all code to find (and file) further inconveniencies. But please
ton't put issues of this kind to Prio3 but Prio5. Thank you for your
comprehension.
