Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 63388
Mail Merge Problem with odd and even pages
Last modified: 2006-03-24 15:18:40 UTC
Open Office Writer Related Problem:- While using the Mail Merge option it is generating only the odd pages and the even pages are missing in the output. Please provide us an alternative to Mail Merge both the even and odd pages.
Reassigned to HI.
Not P1 issue, lowered to P3.
I checked with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]" and was not able to reproduce the Problem. I used my normal address database (an OOo spreadsheet) and printed a mail merge letter with selected addresses for my m´business christmas mail. I saw that it _looked_as_if_ only odd pages would be printed (Is saw somthing like 1/1 ... 3/3 ... 5/5 as progress indicator in the status bar), but really all pages for all addresses have been printed. So this seems to be INVALID. @rajarshin: If you ralize that you _really_ found a bug, please contribute a small testkit with a letter document, some small address database (best: table in the same folder as your letter document) and some more information how to reproduce your problem. Did you really test for _all_ WINDOWS versions?
I just found out that there _is_ some little problem: The mail merge assistent creates empty pages between the pages of the letter, which were invisible for me, because I had unchecked in Menu "Tools - Options - Print - print automatically inserted empty pages" (Menu text translated from German version, might differ a little in original English OOo). This does not cause any real problem, all pages for my needs were created and will be printed. But - I really only have odd page numbers - I do not find a possibility (or help text) where I can switch off empty page insert - Insert of empty pages seems to be default, I do not see for what that should be useful
