Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 63982
The StarOffice->Print options pane doesn't provide useful information when read with a screen reader.
Last modified: 2009-07-20 14:52:47 UTC
This is with Solaris x86 (Nevada b34), with JDS/GNOME vermillion_08 build and with StarOffice 8, build m161 (with the new UNO/atkbridge). Tested with the Orca screen reader. Bringup Tools->Options The StarOffice->Print pane has several controls where the text spoken for each one is not useful. title. For example: Reduce print data Settings for These radio buttons should have an accessible name that consists of the section title ("Reduce print data"), the group label ("Settings for") plus the label associated with the individual radio buttons ("Printer" and "Print to file"). There are similar problems for virtually all the other controls in this pane. See also bugs #63980 and #63981. (This bug needs an "accessibility" keyword added to it).
TM-ES: please have a look, thanks
ES->OBR: please have a look.
not a bridging issue.
target 3.0
fixed in cws pba11y01 - changed file: /sfx2/source/dialog/printopt.cxx, 1.14.70.1 solution: provide more verbose accessible names for the controls on the dialog pane.
forgot the mention change to the following file: /sfx2/inc/sfx2/printopt.hxx, 1.3.70.1
pb -> es: please verify. Thx. Please notice. The Orca on the longjmp only read the text you see on the page. Perhaps a newer version read the expanded text. The Orca-Team wanted that e set an expanded accessible name on the controls of the page. That is done. You can see it with Accessizer. If there is no version of Orca that reads it correctly it is a task for Orca.
Verified in CWS pba11y01
