Description opoplawski 2006-05-03 18:51:06 UTC
The attached doc file does not appear properly in OpenOffice. Formatting is
very off. Happens in Windows and in Linux. Also attached is a PDF generated
from Microsoft Word of how the document should look.

I checked with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]" and can
confirm the problem with that WORD 11.2 document.

The messing is caused by a wrong import of the formatting for the text frame
containing "NWRA". Steps as following will repair the view:

1. Mark Frame by mouseclick
2. Change 'Anchor' from "To Character" to "As Character"
3. Context Menu by rightclick on text frame: "Alignment - Base to top"
   Voilà, everything looks fine.

The problem does not exist for 1.1.4. (there we do not have a difference between
"To Character" and "As Character" ?)

I hope these hints can help to find out what's going wrong with import.

MRU->OD: the problem is not the formatting of the frame itself - behind the
frame, there is an empty shape (anchored "as character" to position the text
right of the "NWRA" frame) which is not imported anymore.
Comment 5 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2006-05-04 12:20:57 UTC
OD->HBRINKM:
MRU is right the 'empty', as-character anchored shape behind the text frame
isn't imported. Thus, please take over to correct the import. I've also adjusted
the summary.

Note:
If you apply a fill color or a border line to the 'empty' shape in Microsoft
Word and import this document, the shape is imported and the layout is fine.
