Also tested w/ OOo 2.0.2 on WinXP

File->Open
FileType=Text CSV

Choose the attached comma-delimited file (I edited this same file to replace all
tabs w/ commas, but had same results with tabs)

Despite forcing the FileType, OOo opens the file in Writer instead of calc.

Confirm, as described.
The file containes 00-bytes in the second row, which is the reason for not
opening in Calc.
If you open it in Writer and save it then, the 00-bytes are changed to # and the
file will then open in Calc.

Hi,

as Regina found out, the document contains 00 Bytes. As these Bytes are neither
printable nor is it possible to display them in any form, the file is corrupt
can be loaded by luck into writer.

So the bug is that the exporting application writes 00 Bytes.
