Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 66108
Selection and layout problem of multi-script-CTL text
Last modified: 2006-07-28 14:55:25 UTC
In Writer document, sometime we use Thai native number. When you use Thai native number with Thai text, there will be problems when you try to select some characters at the end of line and when you try to format as align right. See the attachment file. You can try to select the last word from the line, you can't select. And you can try to align right. You will see that text overflow from the right margin.

MRU->SBA: there is no "automatic numbering" in the text. Please have a look, there seems to be a general problem selecting Thai text.
SBA: I removed the "with Thai native numbering" part form the summary to avoid confusion. SBA->FME: Please have a look. I noticed that with "View-Web Layout" the last two characters behave normally (i.e. can be selected).
FME->HDU: Most likely a vcl problem. Please have a look. I'll attach a new bugdoc.

I found it: In the reduced test case the four characters are analysed as being three different items. For multi-script CTL text the relative offsets of the items were wrongly calculated if the font size was big.
I have received an additional report from a user. I think it maybe the same problem. When you use left/right/single/double quote, you will have the same problem as Thai native number. Please test with this attachment

@SBA: please verify in CWS vcl60
SBA: Verified in CWS vcl60. (All 3 attached documents behave as expected)
SBA: OK in 680m179. Closed.
