Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 66192
Windows menu doesn't show all open windows
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:48:12 UTC
Description : When working with a Base document, the 'windows' menu doesn't show all open windows Step by step : - open or create a Base document (myDocument.odb) - the 'windows' menu displays the document window (myDocument - OpenOffice.org base) - open a new Base window by double-clicking on a Table, a Form or a Query. - now, there are two open windows but the 'windows' menu only displays the main Base window. Screen Captures http://perso.orange.fr/numa/docs/test1.tiff is a screen capture made under OOo 2.0.3rc5 that shows the problem. http://perso.orange.fr/numa/docs/test2.tiff is a screen capture made under OOo 2.0.1 stable that shows a correct handling of the opened windows Platform/version : this defect has been reproduced with OOo 2.0.3rc5, French version, under MacOS X.3.9, MacOS X.4.6, Mandriva 2006
due to the fact that i do not have a mac to repro, can anybody else repro this issue? thx
hello, it has been reproduced by at least 1 other MacUser and 1 mandriva user (both of them with 2.0.3rc5 / French localization)
The window menu currently only shows top-level documents, not dependent documents (such as database tables/queries/forms/reports).
I experienced a similar problem with OOo 2.3.0 (German) on Linux (SuSE 10.1). My steps: 1. I created a database file .odb which gives me access to a .xls file and registered that database (in Extras (?) - Options - OOo Base) 2. I created a macro which accesses the database using: ' DatabaseContext = createUnoService("com.sun.star.sdb.DatabaseContext") ' DataSource = DatabaseContext.getByName(mydbs) ' Connection = DataSource.GetConnection("","") ' ecc. and inserts some information into a writer document. 3. After restarting of OOo Writer, opening a Writer document, calling that macro and opening some other Writer documents I get this effect: a) My KDE task list shows (among other OOo windows) an OOo calc running with my database opened in readonly mode b) Calling that OOo calc window shows just an empty window frame (i.e. its contents consists of the pixels which have been on the same place before) c) The menu list of OOo writer does show the all windows but that OOo calc d) switching to other windows using that menu list often opens the wrong OO window or shows the effect described in b)
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
