Description stx123 2006-06-08 20:39:10 UTC
I was not able to find any working archive - neither for migrated list nor for
lists created on the stage server.
Tested by sending messages to :
sttest@test, spam@test, news@test, issues@test, ...
Comment 1 stx123 2006-06-08 20:39:46 UTC

The indexer appears to be indexing now; however this is in the CN engineering
q for more analysis.
Comment 6 Unknown 2006-06-10 01:53:55 UTC
Since this issue is assigned to "support", making this a P2 since this is a
stage issue under resolution. If you feel otherwise, please change it back.
Comment 7 Unknown 2006-06-13 01:56:32 UTC
Looks like a stage issue so far and not a specific Danube-S issue. Making this
a P3 to focus on the other P2 issues reported on stage.
Comment 8 stx123 2006-06-13 21:50:10 UTC
I'm a bit worried about the archives. IZ notification messages for issues@test
are not archived. Messages to spam@test don't make it to the archive...
Comment 9 Unknown 2006-06-13 22:39:45 UTC
The plugin for the mailing list indexer is restarted. This usually takes 12-16
hours. We will know by tomorrow how things look like.
Comment 10 stx123 2006-06-14 16:08:14 UTC
There are some more messages archived.

But the archives are still not updated in a reasonable timeframe (checked after
more than 15min).
Tested with an issue against "*Testcomponent"
http://test.stage.openoffice.org/servlets/SummarizeList?listName=issues&by=date
and a message sent to spam@test.stage
http://test.stage.openoffice.org/servlets/SummarizeList?listName=spam&by=date
Comment 11 Unknown 2006-06-16 16:48:42 UTC
We found out earlier to-day that due to a configuration setting, the indexer
was unnecessarily taking a longer time for the full index rebuild (on the
stage site). That has been corrected and it was restarted. We expect the
indexer to complete full indexing today sometimes around 22:00/23:00 hrs UTC.
Till that time no messages will be searchable. After that CN support will test
if mails were archiving within a reasonable time and update this issue.
Comment 12 Unknown 2006-06-17 00:45:33 UTC
The mailing list message archiving is now working fine. I personally tested
that mails are getting archived within a reasonable time (~10 mins).

That being said, CN engineering has made recommendation that the incremental
indexing be set to 30 minutes, as compared to 10 minutes (currently in
production). This recommendation is based on performance concerns on a site as
large as OO.o and growing.

The current setting on stage is 10 minutes; we would need your OK to set this
to 30 minutes (in production). Please note this setting will not impact the
actual delivery time of the e-mail sent to the list (and to the users in the
list). On stage I verified that the mails sent to the mailing lists are
received nearly instantly.

Please let us know your thoughts on the incremental indexing time interval
setting.

Verified archiving on stage.

In the beginning I would like to use the same settings as we had on the
production site with SC26. If we run into new performance problems with CEE351
this might be one of the settings to tweak.
Comment 14 stx123 2006-06-17 11:47:59 UTC
fixed on stage
Comment 15 stx123 2006-06-17 11:48:23 UTC
verified on stage

This Issue is 'Verified' and not updated in 1yr+, so Closing.
A Closed Issue is a Happy Issue (TM).
