Comment 1 Olaf Felka 2006-07-14 12:37:30 UTC
I've tried on my Sarge with
http://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/680/SRC680_m176/Build-1/OOo_SRC680_m176_native_LinuxIntel_langpacks_deb/
and can't reproduce with an open writer. Do you have a certain document open?
Comment 2 Mechtilde 2006-07-14 15:14:51 UTC
I also tested it with the SUN build m176 for Linux after using alien
It's the same.
There is no document open.

mechtilde: OK. Please provide strace output:

cd .../program/
strace ./soffice.bin >/tmp/i67367.diff 2>&1
gzip -9 /tmp/i67367.diff

and attach the resulting file.

Please try also running OOo with clean user installation.
Comment 4 Mechtilde 2006-07-14 18:58:35 UTC

Comment 6 thorsten.martens 2006-07-18 10:36:20 UTC
TM->OBR: please have a look. Problem is reproducible but seems to occur only
when using Gnome.
Comment 7 Mechtilde 2006-07-18 11:57:21 UTC
I don't use gnome as a desktop.

I only use gtk-libs if necessary.

Comment 8 Olaf Felka 2006-07-18 15:11:19 UTC
I've observed the same on Solaris10 on a Gnome desktop. 100% CPU when running
the office.
Comment 9 matthias.huetsch 2006-07-18 15:43:48 UTC
mhu->pl: can you please have a look at this; the strace output show tons of
"poll()" call with timeout 0.

cws "vcl60" (containing a fix for issue 42221) was integrated into m176, and
this looks somehow related to what was changed there.

Thanks,
Matthias
Comment 10 Olaf Felka 2006-07-18 15:55:25 UTC
Crosschecked in m175: Not the same behaviour, not taking 100% CPU. So it seems
to be intoduced in m176.
Comment 11 philipp.lohmann 2006-07-18 17:34:20 UTC
fixed in CWS vcl62
Comment 12 philipp.lohmann 2006-07-19 13:49:38 UTC

Comment 13 marc.neumann 2006-07-20 08:19:09 UTC
