Description aziem 2006-07-19 15:41:10 UTC
Every time I open
<http://www.juntadeandalucia.es/medioambiente/legislacion/d78_94.rtf> (510k), it
causes OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 Linux to crash and start the recovery system.

As far as I can tell, this crash is different than existing .rtf bugs.

Confirm under WinXP Home SP2
Comment 3 michael.ruess 2006-07-19 17:10:07 UTC
MRU->MBA: opening the attached rtf causes a crash in the import at about 25 % of
the progress.
Comment 4 Mathias_Bauer 2006-07-21 16:07:46 UTC
RTF import currently has low priority due to missing resources
Comment 5 aziem 2007-03-24 05:23:05 UTC
Still crashes OOo 2.2rc3 Linux.
Comment 6 jolatt 2007-03-24 08:20:49 UTC
Wordpad doesn't show any pictures.
With Calc I can open the file (no pictures)
Comment 7 lohmaier 2007-03-26 14:57:03 UTC
still a crash and a regression (opens in 1.1.5 without crash)

So arguing with "low priority because RTF" is somewhat unreasonable. OOo
shouldn't crash at opening a docment, no matter whether the format has high
priority or not. If there are formatting errors, then fine, but crashes?
Comment 8 Mathias_Bauer 2007-03-26 16:10:37 UTC
If we agreed on fixing only the crash I could agree. If you asked for fixing the
import problem I maintain my point that target "3.0" is appropriate in case just
fixing the crash will result in a wrong import.

So let's hope for the best.
