Description aziem 2006-07-24 05:25:16 UTC
Crash on OOo 2.0.3 Linux. Sent crash ID rxg9b6.
- Export to Word 97/2000/XP: no crash
- Export to Word 95: crash
- Export to Word 6: crash
- Export to RTF: no crash

This document has complex tables, so the issue is similar to but different than
these issues: issue 64300, issue 65793, issue 60390. They all crash when
exporting to Word 97, but this document exports to Word 97 OK.

I checked with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]" and can
confirtm the crash for document from URL. OOo closed without warning when I
tried to save the document in WORD95 format.

I created a crash report; the ID of the error report is rx4tb6. Pls decide DUP
or not on the basis of the error report.
Comment 3 Rainer Bielefeld 2006-07-24 06:47:21 UTC
I checked with "2.0.3RC5 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9036)]", also crash
as reported. Same result when I save as .odt, close and reopen before I try to
save the document in WORD 95 format (or WORD 6 format).

2.0.2 also crashes when I save as .sxw, close and repoen the document.

"1.1.4 (German) WIN XP: [645m52 (Build 8824)]" can save that .sxw in WORD 95
format without problems.

MRU->MBA: export the attached document to Word6 format -> crash. Looks like it
is a problem with the complex tables in the export filter. The crash happens
right at the beginning of the export.
Worked last with OO 2.0.1.

utomo99, yes, first attachment still crashes in OOE680_m2.
Comment 8 jjmckenzie 2007-02-01 02:59:43 UTC
This cannot be a blocker for 2.2 as it is not targeted to 2.2.

Hello aziem, *,
I have tried to reproduce your issue under Debian SID (64Bit) and OOG680_m4 and
both documents do not crash OOo, when you export them to W6 or W95. Can you try
it with a newer version again on your OS? Does it still crash OOo on your
system? If so: Could you tell us something more about your system
(OS/architecture/OOo version/Java version and the like)?
If this issue is solved for you, I would be very happy, when you could close
this issue afterwards :)
TIA
Thomas.

I see no more crashes with these 2 attachments on OOo 2.3.0 Linux 2.6. Perhaps
someone should try Windows XP.
Comment 13 dridgway 2008-12-29 23:32:05 UTC
Both documents export without crashing with OOO300m9 on OS X 10.5. Aziem's
comment above shows they work fine on Linux. Closing WFM, though it was clearly
fixed at some point.
