since StarOffice 5.0 the help agent and the help system was never really 
working well.

Currently the help agent's window is placed too far away and the help doesn't 
always pop up at the point to which on needs help, for example in the general 
preferences/options it doesn't always open the correct submenu.


The best way in Windows is to fully exploit Ms tooltip possibilities 
(Direkthilfe in german), they don't work in the options menu or in the Calcs 
cell properties for example. They should either always pop up or pop up when 
right clicking (note: usually a context menu opens containg the entry calling 
the "Direkthilfe", but as that is the only entry, the Direkthilfe can 
immediately be called).


Also helping will be to place "options" of objects property dialogues better: 
the structure already is good but some fine-tuning is needed; in my opinion SOs 
property structure has always been and is far better than Ms Offices one; 
that's why Im always using SO/OO since SO3 !
For example one could direct the user better by placing a "comment box" about 
each register card telling the user what to find there, that means sth like 
that the tooltip of the register card title is always faded in; ..hmm, ney, i 
must say there has to be more thinking: what am i missing, wehere are my 
problems finding what i want... | nevertheless this issue shall only "ignite" 
you of course.
