Description tomyn 2006-12-31 10:32:15 UTC
In impress: After a new start, all pictures/graphics are no more displayed,
only a 'picture missing' symbol and the pathname (without the drive letter) is
shown. The pictures still exists, and the path seems to be right.
This also affects older presentations, when you try to reopen it. It first
occured with an elder version, but is not resolved by installation of current
release.

tomyn,
I can confirm that presentation is missing pictures, but I have no idea how it
arrived to such state.
It could be damaged by either OO when saving or some external event (all of
the OpenOffice files are .zip archives with .xml files storing text and
formatting and pictures stored as .jpg, .gif etc in "Pictures" folder).
Comment 4 wolframgarten 2007-01-02 11:23:05 UTC
The graphics are listed in content.xml like
"../../../../Dokumente%20und%20Einstellungen/Pep/Eigene%20Dateien/Eigene%20Bilder/2003-10-18,%20Madeira%201/Madeira%201%20005.jpg".
@cl: do you know what went wrong with this file?
Comment 5 tomyn 2007-01-02 11:32:31 UTC
Hi,

well all that happens on my dad's pc, while he was working on the
presentation. He uses always large pics, so there might be some memory problem.
Without knowing OOs source, could it possible that there was a problem with
internal caching of the pictures?

Tomy, have you moved the document from one directory to another?
Comment 7 tomyn 2007-01-02 12:58:12 UTC
Hi,

as mentioned above, the file is on my dad's pc, so I can give an information
100% valid, but as I know my dad (and he's skills on the pc) I'd say No, it
has not been moved.

cl->wg: I don't have any more ideas, file looks ok, I also tested with links
that contain spaces and ',' but just works for me

If there is no way of reproducing this we cannot do anything about it, sorry. I
have tested this again with a document setup in OOo1.1.5, with linked and
inserted graphics: they all show up when loaded in a current version.
Please feel fre to reopen if you have more details for reproducing. Thanks for
your help.
