Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 73158
WW8: graphics from 3rd party doc imported with "contour wrap"
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:26:10 UTC
I have a one page document, containing two images. It was created on a MAC, but don't know with which kind of office. when opening this doc document in openoffice the images are distorted, it seems that the images try to follow the floating text around it. I tested with Openoffice 2.0.2 and 2.1, both with the same result. Taking a look on a windows machine with MS Office, the images are at their place as expected.

I checked with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]" and can confirm problems. There are 2 images in the text of the document which look completely destroyed. Image look fine after "Contour" for wrap has been disabled. WORD2000 shows the documents correctly, so that it seems to be an OOo problem, but my OOo will shows the images without problem after I opened and and resaved the file (unchanged) with WORD 2000. So it also seems to be a problem caused by the application with what the document has been created. The question is how much manpower we can invest inimprovement of "correct show of damaged other unknown application documents"

MRU->HBRINKM: the graphics in this document are erroneously imported with "contour wrap". The doc was created with a 3rd party application on Mac.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
