bigserpent, on your screenshot you are pointing mouse to second icon in first row, right? And you are getting hint (text on yellow) for that icon, not for icon where hint starts. I think that hint correctly corresponds to the icon, if that is what you are talking about. If not please clarify. P.S. I think you have set wrong component too, it should be "Word processor", not "spreadsheet".
Yes, the mouse cursor was at the second item in the first row. The misunderstanding comes from the dual meaning of icons from my POV. When I see a bold row of columns and a dimension line showing the total width, I have only one idea - the widths of the columns, founding this row, are to be changed. Concerning component, it's my fault - it belongs to the word processor, of course.
'bigserpent': Looking over this Issue, the icons are not defective but function as designed (they make perfect sense to me). Hence, I've changed type to Enhancement and Summary text. I'm referring the Issue to Sun's ArtTeam. Cheers, Andrew [icons]
STS -> FL: Hi Frank, please have a look at the new icons (Galaxy) in OOo 3.0 beta... Do you think, the position of these icons should be changed for a better understanding? They need a string review?
