Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 76323
Possible Writer 2.2 template creation bug
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:42:39 UTC
I observed a possible bug in OO Writer 2.2 related to templates. I reproduced the example explained in the impressive Daniel Escasa article "The lazy user’s guide to OpenOffice.org Writer" at http://www.freesoftwaremagazine.com/articles/the_lazy_user_s_guide_to_openoffice_org_writer and I saved the results as a template. The result is the table of contents appears before the first page. The same test with OO 2.1 works fine.

Confirmed in m207 on win XP Create doc with first page with 'textx' do insert > manual break > page break twice on last page put in a title, assign to Heading 1 on previous empty page, do insert > .. > table of contents This document has three pages, with index on second page Save document (doesn't have to be a template) Close document Reopen document Resulting document has only two pages, with 'textx' followed by the index on the first page Reported behaviour with a small frame centered on first page makes the index appear before the frame. ?regression Summary -> Manual break prior to index lost on save and reopen
ES->OS: reproduced on Linux too. Broken between m195 and m199.
