Description pagalmes.lists 2007-04-16 16:31:13 UTC
The table in Writer was copied from an HTML page.

Now, when I copy the table from Writer to Calc, it only paste the first line. It
looks like the content from the cell "Mise à jour de sécurité de MSXML 4.0 SP2
(KB927978)" corrupts the paste.

Hi, it was not easy to reproduce the writer file, but I finally did it...

- open the attached HTML file with IE 6 or 7 (cf screenshot 1). NB: It does not
behave the same with Firefox
- select the entire table.
- Copy the result in Writer (I tested with 2.1 or 2.2) (cf screenshot 1)
- select the entire table
- paste into Calc (cf screenshot 3)

@MRU: Not a HTML or clipboard problem.
- Load bugdoc:
http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/44456/tableau%20html%20writer.odt
- save it as RTF
- Reload
-> everything but the first to lines of the table is lost.
Comment 13 michael.ruess 2007-04-18 17:56:07 UTC
I was only able to reproduce it with the table from the attached document. It
seems that the RTF filter in OO has a problem with tables pasted from a HTML source.
Comment 14 pagalmes.lists 2007-04-19 00:07:06 UTC
mru, the problem comes only if you use Internet Epxlorer, not Firefox.
Comment 15 Rainer Bielefeld 2007-04-19 06:53:05 UTC
I can confirm pagalmes's observation, I was able to reproduce the complete chain
with IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2245. When I copied the same part of
the table from test.html to WRITER with Seamonkey, copy paste from there to CALC
worked without problems, when I used IE, the reported problem appears. Pls. see
my 2 documents in "comparebrowserresults.zip"!

Comment 17 Rainer Bielefeld 2007-04-19 07:31:44 UTC
This seems to be a general problem with tables copied from IE, I also was able
to reproduce the problem with the table from

Comment 18 pagalmes.lists 2007-04-19 09:01:28 UTC
I created another issue 76492 for IE and Firefox not managing issues the same way.
