1. open a new database
2. open a new report designer
3. bind the report to a table with a date field
4. open the sorting & grouping dialog
5. insert the date field into the field list
6. select "Year" at "Group on"
7. insert the data control to the group section and bind it to the date field
8. execute the report 
==>> the report is not grouped by year

Using the cws_oj14 build it appears that grouping on dates does work.

See Report3 in attached database.

I think it is not the solution to devide the date in day, month and year in a query.
I look for a grouping in report

change target to 2.3 because issue will be fixed in a OOO 2.3
