Start OOo writer, the menu should look like this:
http://mikesicotte.com/patch/menu_before_hover.png

Hover over a toolbar icon, and the menu disappears, like this:
http://mikesicotte.com/patch/menu_after_hover.png

I don't know if this is the right fix in general, but it fixes this particular problem.

Please commit it as well.
