Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 77401
RPT: 'conditional formatting' does not work with text content
Last modified: 2007-05-22 14:25:12 UTC
0. open a new database 1. create a table with a char field and fill it with data (a,b,c) 2. open the report designer and bind it to the table 3. insert the fields in the design area 4. select the field control 5. open dialog 'conditional formatting' in format menu 6. choose 'field value is' and 'equal to' and 'a' 7. choose f.e. a red font color and execute the report -> does not work (works fine with numbers)
set keyword 'new_implementation'
fs->oj: since numeric values work, I suppose this is on the engine side ... does it expect some other syntax here? This would be bad, as the conditional formatting dialog does not *really* have a chance to determine whether the field control is numeric or string (imagine a field which is bound to a complex expression).
The Report Designer iTeam decided that this issue is a show stopper for the release of the report designer. Targeting to 2.3, thus.
When setting the a in " like "a" the string comparison works. It's the same as in calc.
