Description msicotte 2007-05-19 04:02:25 UTC
Font issues: not all Mac OS X fonts directly usable in OO.o, and some must be
extracted from different Apple archives. Waiting Apple native font system use
(ATSUI), fondu can be used (fondu is integrated in OOo 2.0.3 and later, see
fixed issues, below).

This issue is IMHO fixed : all fonts are now usable. What is missing is some
attributes and metrics

Further to http://porting.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=mac&msgNo=5364
can OpenType fonts be used in Aqua ooo?
Comment 4 hdu@apache.org 2007-05-21 11:39:14 UTC
Adjusted summary to have more context.

Though with the recent changes almost all fonts are available when we get to PDF-export some of them
will have to be disabled again until CFF-subsetting (issue 43029) gets implemented.
Comment 5 hdu@apache.org 2007-05-25 08:52:55 UTC
Other than the comment above about CFF-embedding I consider the issue as fixed. Only the "all native
fonts" in the subject line is probably too broad. E.g. it is possible that somewhere on an old mac a non-
unicode font exists that uses 8-bit sanscrit-encoding. I'm quite sure this native font wouldn't work now
with the latest OOo. We could get the sanscrit-font issue fixed if there is enough interest. But this fine-
tuning should be done in separate issues.

So I'd like to redefine the subject to "support native general purpose fonts" and mark this issue as resolved
as FIXED.

Please verify in CWS aquavcl01.
