Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 77630
Selected Aqua buttons show rectangular selection box around text
Last modified: 2008-01-23 14:08:09 UTC
Any Aqua buttons (as well as check boxes, radios, text inputs, etc) show a box around the text portion of the control. In most cases this looks fine, as the control is the size of the text, but in the case of buttons, the button is often bigger than the text. See attached image for more information.

I've also noticed that selected buttons become filled with the highlight color in addition to just highlighting a border around the button. I believe that the typical Apple way is to have the filled button be the default button (selected by return/enter) and selected buttons (by tabbing) only have a highlighted border...but I'm not positive on the guideline for this.
GlowingApple: FireFox highlights the default button. Also, I'm confirming this issue. James McKenzie
This issue is fixed. ericb->glowingapple REading #ooo_macport logs, I know you are building AquaBuild. Can you please confirm ?
In the opening wizard (for the license and registration) the text elments in the column on the left still have the outline, but AFAICT, none of the other elements do.
reopening. Not fixed yet. not only FirstStart wizard, but also regular Preferences dialog.
