Description p9w.vu.31122010 2007-06-21 23:22:41 UTC
Go to Tools - Options - OOo - View and set the behaviour for the middle mouse
button to "Automatic Scrolling".

Middle Clicks will reproducibly crash soffice.

Can reproduce with OOo-Dev 680_m216 B 9171 Linux i86 RPM on an OpenSuse 10.2
i586 KDE 3.5.5 "release 45.4" system.

It says on the console (xterm):
/opt/ooo-dev2.3/program/soffice: line 236: 12985 Speicherzugriffsfehler
"$sd_prog/$sd_binary" "$@"

"Speicherzugriffsfehler" is German for "segmentation fault". :-) So, this is not
just a crash, its a segfault.

Adding the crash keyword.

Reassigned to SBA.
Comment 3 mbayer 2007-06-23 16:02:47 UTC
Can't reproduce with OOo-Dev 680_m217 B 9173 Linux i86 en_US RPM.

SBA: Works well with 680m217 for me, too. Set to "Worksforme"

SBA->simonaw & mbayer: Build 680m216 was "not exactly high quality" :-(
I am not aware of a certain issue naming THIS problem. But many P1 issues have
been filed and fixed, one of them maybe having adressed this problem as well.

Please re-verify build 680m217 or younger and comment here.
Thank you.

Yes, with m217 everything is fine again... Just didn't wanna drop this one under
the table.

I think we can close this one then. Right?
