Description ooo 2007-08-24 10:37:40 UTC
When you try to install dictionaries with danish OOG680_m2 build2 pavels buils
the application freezes (ends up comsuming 99% CPU and you have no other option
that kill the soffice process)
Later confirmed on the sun en-US build (link will follow)
This wasnt a problem on OOG680_m1, so it might be consideret P1
Comment 1 Olaf Felka 2007-08-24 11:11:08 UTC
@ mru: please investigate.
Comment 2 Olaf Felka 2007-08-24 11:16:32 UTC
adjusting prio P3 -> P2
Comment 3 Mechtilde 2007-08-24 11:52:16 UTC
I can confirm it also under GNU/Linux

It is not possible to update DicOOo.sxw from 1.7 to 1.8
Comment 4 pavel 2007-08-24 11:58:51 UTC
version 1.8 is supposed to fix this - see cws dicooo18 (IIRC).
Comment 5 michael.ruess 2007-08-24 14:36:53 UTC
MRU->SBA: please have a look at this. Maybe it is the same problem as in issue
80923, which is fixed in CWS i18n36.
Comment 6 andreschnabel 2007-08-24 16:32:58 UTC
very likely that this is a dup of issue 80293

setting target, adding to blocker list
Comment 7 ooo 2007-08-25 13:49:22 UTC
here is the link to the en-US file that it was testet with - DicOOo freezes
ftp://mirrors.dotsrc.org/openoffice/developer/OOG680_m2/OOo-Dev_OOG680_m2_Win32Intel_install_en-US.exe
Comment 8 seanlano 2007-08-26 00:39:17 UTC
I also experience the same problem with OOG680_m2 on Windows XP.
Comment 9 seanlano 2007-08-26 00:47:22 UTC
Maybe this should be assigned to issues@lingucomponent?
See issue 81022, it is almost a duplicate of this issue, but it is filed
differently.
Comment 10 seanlano 2007-08-26 01:09:35 UTC
The same problem occurs with DicOOo 1.7 & 1.8 on Windows XP, OOG680_m2. DicOOo
1.8 does not resolve the issue.

OK, I'll upload build with i18n36 to verify it...

My current mws_oog680 build is at http://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/tmp/
OOG680_m3/Build-0/ and I'll upload en-US .exe with i18n36 in a few minutes.
Comment 13 pavel 2007-08-26 08:44:41 UTC
OK, patched i18npool is at

http://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/tmp/OOG680_m3/Build-0/i18npool.uno.dll

Before replacing the original lib, please make sure everything is stopped - OOo and also quickstarter...
Comment 14 andreschnabel 2007-08-26 09:35:59 UTC
the dll fixes the problem on windows.

I do not set to fixed yet, as I did not test on any other platform.

Andre: thanks!

Here is the Linux library:

http://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/tmp/OOG680_m3/Build-0/i18npool.uno.so
Comment 17 andreschnabel 2007-08-26 12:38:12 UTC
it's also ok with the linux lib

->fixed
Comment 18 seanlano 2007-08-27 10:21:31 UTC
It's great that you fixed the problem.
But what do I do with the file that you made? I don't know how to do the coding,
I just use the Developer Snapshots and trial them and report problems (like this
one). Is it eaiser to wait for OOG680_m3? When is it coming out?
Comment 19 pavel 2007-08-27 10:26:12 UTC
Yes, please wait.

Or you can *replace* the same file in your installed OOo (when OOo is not running).
Comment 20 Mechtilde 2007-09-01 09:02:58 UTC
verified in OOG680_m3 -> closed
