Description gjuy42de26 2008-01-25 17:02:47 UTC
Downloaded OpenOffice for Mac from OpenOffice. Cannot get applications other
than Writer to open. Would like to open Calc, Base, etc. I am successfully
using OO on Fedora core 7.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

David Guy

Did you try File -> New ?

IMHO this is basically requesting the functionality for "separate" OOo
applications. Either by just using some hack with just separate app icons, or
real separation, something like here:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Mac_OS_X_Porting_-_Separate_apps_%28OOoRunner_-framework%29

Adjusting summary accordingly.

(the work-around is to use File -> New... menu as was already mentioned)

TM->JSI, PL: seems to be more an RFE than a defect...isn't it ?
