This is a regression it works in 2.3.1

it also works in m242.

I want to do our book-keeping but I can't input the currency value.

Sigh. You certainly want to tell us your database, your database/driver version,
whether it affects all data or only particular data types (or whether you didn't
try this in detail). Perhaps you even want to describe the structure of the
table which is affected. Come on, I don't need to tell you this every time.

Also, note that according to
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOoRelease24, you should speak up in
releases@openoffice.org when you want to nominate an issue as 2.4 blocker.

yes you must nbot tell it every time ;-)

yes it was very difficult to create this example to shoe the problem.

and during the meeting time I was working on this example.

I can reproduce this. with the mysql bugdoc database from issue 85371. an update
on a currency field result in a 0 value. also an insert doesn't work.

Fixed in cws dba24g.
Was a regression of issue 51965
