For a more modern appearance, the cell selection has to be transparent instead
of inverting. The look of column and row headers needs an update, too.

Issue 78181 is separate and not addressed by this.

In the specification, there is no screenshot for everything expect white
backgroud cells. What does it looks like for colored bg ?

Added a second screenshot to the specification showing different colors and
object below new tanslucent selection.

While selection itself looks just great, highlighting of row and column 
hedaers is not that great and could be improved.

What do you think of this?

This issue is closed automatically and wasn't rechecked in a current version of
OOo. The fixed issue should be integrated in OOo since more than half a year. If
you think this issue isn't fixed in a current version (OOo 3.1), please reopen
it and change the field 'Target Milestone' accordingly.
