Install an oxt extension in "My Extensions".

Now un-install this way:
Menu Tools > Extension manager > My Extensions > +
Select the extension, +
The extension contents is now displayed. Eventually click on one or each of the 
components.
Keeping the tree open, select again the main line for this extension, click Delete : 
OOo deadlocks.

Reproducible with various extensions.
If you don't display the extension content, un-install works.

Looks like a duplicate of 86304.

Yep, is a dupe, showstopper for 2.4, currently in the works.

Agreed, 
I was bothered by the initial comment on Issue 86304 :
"Set target to 3.0, the scenario is a rare one."

Make sure 86304 also solves my use case.
