Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 8977
Background object vs color
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:35:58 UTC
Not possible with background color to fill behind a background object. (scenario, see attachment, page should be black with object on top. Custom- size of object also not available)
Created attachment 3486 [details] screenshot of inadequate backgrounding
Reassigned to Bettina.
So it is: Try Menu: Format - Page - Background You can only select color or graphic alternatively, not in time. Might be it would be fine to have a background image in the center of the page with a yellow background - "frame". I would like such feature. I do not think that it is a problem that it is not possible to have no possibility to change the size of the background graphic in the text document - who likes such frills will be able to create a special size graphic with a graphic tool. IMHO not necessary. I compared with WORD2000. My result: our background-tool is more powerful. OOo Option "Type" is missing in WORD2000. I change status to NEW, Platform and OS to all, Priority to 5 and version to 1.1RC. Rainer
