Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 91654
WW8: many obsolete page breaks and long formatting time due to keep attribute in tables
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:44:35 UTC
The problem concerns forms available from "Comune di Torino", forms (in italian Modulistica) produced for Architects and Technicians for buildings anc constructions. The forms may be found at: http://www.comune.torino.it/ediliziaprivata/moduli/ You can download the documents in the column named "word comp. diretta" and the corresponding pdf for comparison. The problems concerns multiple pages document where you can find several unwanted page/table breaks and in some case a long time in loading document. The "SE-PPE" and "SE-DIA semplificata" documents are representative of those problems. Let me know how eventually I can attach some more personal files. Bye Nicola Tiana - Torino - Italy

MRU->FME: the "keep" attribute is heavily used in this document and this seem to cause that the formatting of this documents adds many obsolete page breaks. Also, it needs very much time to format this document - when opening it and also when making changes in the paragraph formatting. MRU->nicolatiana: as a workaround, you could remove the protection from the document (in Format.Sections dialog) and the remove the "Keep with next" attribute (in "Format.Paragraph.Text flow" dialog) from all the paragraphs.
OK - The workaround was the one I already applied in a few sitution. Not always resolutive but helpful. Let me know where I can post some other more personal files with other problems. Bye Nicola Tiana
fme->pflin: Please have a look.
Sorry, should be assigned to me.
Set target to 3.x
According to our new regression issue handling for the 3.4 relrease the field priority is now used as the order we want to work on them, no longer as a "severity". The high number of regressions in the WW8 filters makes it necessary to prioritize them as we won't be able to fix all of them for 3.4. We decided to first focus on the export. Thus most regressions in the import filter now get priority "P4", what means that they will be reevaluated in the next release cycle.
