Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 92675
letters overlap when writing RTL in Hebrew
Last modified: 2017-08-20 18:45:38 UTC
In a new document, press the RTL button and type text in Hebrew. I tried in Frank Ruehl CLM and Yehuda CLM, every time space is entered the letters before condense a little eventually rendering the text illegible. I have a screen shot but don't know how to upload it. Please verify in other platforms (I don't know which module it belongs to?...)

I don't see this bug anymore, and suggest to close it. Besides, it should reside in different Product & Component. See "works for me" attachment).

Created attachment 83010 [details] Does not work for me on 4.1 dev build I recommend moving the bug to Internationalization > BIDI (don't have rights to do so). And, I found this bug in 4.1-dev version. but not on 4.0.1 (see attachment)
I recommend moving the bug to Internationalization > BIDI (don't have rights to do so). + replaced attachment, after I found the bug in 4.1-dev version. but not on 4.0.1 (see attachment)
Speculation: Adding space after a word doesn't refresh the view properly, or the space in RTL writing mode is added in the wrong place, which causes these artifacts to appear to the right (see attachment). Space should be added to the end of the current running sentence.
Moving the issue to I18N/BiDi as requested.
