Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 93013
start OpenGL transitions Implementation ( Mac OS XAqua version only )
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:35:10 UTC
Currently, we don't use OpenGL at all. This issue is a try to implement the use NSOpenGLview's inside OpenOffice.org, with Impress.
Targeted to 3.x , better be prudent
Setting keyword, issue started
ogltrans4mac cws has been created
The code has been commited in ogltrans4mac. Mac OS X, Linux and Windows cases have been splitted in 3 files, to remove the unreadable #if ..#endif The first try does use a custom OpenGLView (AquaOpenGView class), more easy to customize in the future. After several days of tracing the transitions, the flicker seems to not be caused by the OpenGL part, but by the slideshow (or the canvas ) itself. One more time, many thanks to the part (essential) provided by Stephan Schaefer
Set target to 3.2
The OpenGL transitions work without flicker now, when cairo is used.
OOo 3.2 is in showstopper phase. If this issues is still a critical issue for OOo 3.2, please re-target it back. Otherwise this issue is targeted now to OOo 3.x.
Targeted to OOo 3.x, NOW! ;-(
Long time this feature was listed for 3.3 in eis.services.openoffice.org, now it has changed to 3.4. Is there any chance that it still goes into release 3.3? In any case, please adjust the target of this issue. Thanks
@gleppert : the short answer is no, the NSOpenGLview has not been implemented into the coming 3.3 Waiting, the feature has only been added to OOo4Kids, and go-oo some times ago, but it has some (non trivial) bugs, I'll try to fix the coming summer. For example the frames And if ever I (or someone else) can fix them, then we'll think to integrate it into OOo, but later. Short answer : If you want to try, please try OOo4Kids or go-oo, and provide us feedback.
The corresponding CWS "ogltrans4mac" is on target OOo 3.4. Therefore I change this issue to this target accordingly.
set target 3.x since not relevant for 3.4 release.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
