As Uwe presented the new cut-assistant on FrOScon'08 (Germany), I noted on a
first test that this assistant is only available on Draw and Presenter atm but
not in Writer nor in Calc.
I already talked about that issue to Mechtilde and Uwe personally on that
conference who did not see any reason for this behavior.

The main issue may be, that different "picture" toolbars are used in the
applications. This is very annoying to users who have to search for different
features in a different way or menu.
(Please see attached pictures of the same called Toolbar within the four main
applications (base doesn't seem to have any of these picture features at all).

In my point of view, all "picture" toolbars should look same in the applications
and all Features for manipulating pictures should be available consistently.

Today the featurelist of OOo3 lists this cut feature as a "impress an draw
only"-feature which is the correct marketing-slogan but the wrong way to get new
users, cause most users doesn't use the annoying OLE Plugin for pictures in Writer!

This issue may rely on Issue #90643 and #26281 where different aspects of
userGuidance are mentioned too.
