Description avdgeijn 2008-09-11 08:56:35 UTC
When trying to add a new document or file into the master document the mouse
needs to move from the navigator to the file browser. Whole moving the mouse
from the navigator to the file browser and those two windows are not connected
to each other, the mouse hoovers over some other windows, this file browser
disappears, and Openoffice gets non-responding. Sometimes a control-C helps, to
show that there is such a process as a file browser running on the back ground.

When the navigator window is first moved to the file browser, and then the mouse
is moved to the file browser, it works fine.

Reassigned to ES.

I don't understand your description:
- why do you move the mouse *from* the Navigator *to* the file browser (Finder?)
in order to add documents? It should be the contrary.
- do you just move the pointer or do you do a drag & drop?
- from your description you seem to have a "raise on focus" feature active,
which is not a MAC OSX standard.

Please describe more precisely.

Yes, I'm refering to my pointer, when I move it from the navigator screen to the
finder screen (the place to select the document you want to insert in the master
document, this screen opens when you select 'file' in the add options of the
navigator for master documents), the finder screen disappears when something
else (other screen) is in between, like an openoffice document, and the pointer
moves over it.

raise on focus is not switched on.

It looks like that the problem is related to the issue known as: 91595

- New > Master Document
- New document window shows up with Navigation window
- Click 'insert' button in Navigation window
- File chooser dialog shows up and gone in second
- Try to switch between document window
- OOo hangs....

will check if the same solution there suggested:
After delete /Users/Library/Applications Support/OpenOffice* (including OOo300,
I have 3 OOo-related folders) the problem is gone.

works for me...but seems like that more people are having this issue.

Created a screen shot which shows the Navigation screen and the 'Insert' screen.
The pointer is at the Navigation screen, when it now moves to the 'Insert'screen
and leaves the 'Navigation screen' the 'Insert screen' disappears.

Comment 8 eric.savary 2008-09-15 15:35:07 UTC
@PL: as we have seen, a focus problem which may end up in freeze or even in crash.
Comment 9 philipp.lohmann 2008-10-17 14:25:44 UTC
not a focus problem, selector sent to an NSWindow that doesn't support it ...
