Description charlie_tca 2008-10-11 16:35:40 UTC
1. Open a new writer document
2. Create a table in the document
3. Enter new lines to push table to bottom of page
4. When the table is at the bottom, you will find you now have two pages.
5. To have the table at the bottom, you will need to reduce the page bottom
margin to delete the second page.
6. You now have a new line at the bottom of the page after the table which can
not be deleted

Go to end of paragraph in left bottom cell.
Ctrl+Shift+Delete.

Finder other useful shortcut keys in the help in part "Shortcut Keys for Tables
in OpenOffice.org Writer" in chapter "Shortcut Keys for OpenOffice.org Writer."
Comment 3 Regina Henschel 2008-10-11 18:23:36 UTC
closing, no bug
Comment 4 Regina Henschel 2008-10-11 18:24:40 UTC
Excuse me, not "left bottom" but "right bottom".
Comment 5 charlie_tca 2008-10-11 18:49:47 UTC
Thank you very much for such a fast response. I'm sorry I did not find that
shortcut on my own. It works great; just I would expect.

Thanks again.

As noted in Ubuntu bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254655

Even if you do the ctrl-shift-delete trick then save the document when you
reopen the document the extra line break is back.

See this file as an example.

Marked as confirmed, see above comment.
Comment 8 michael.ruess 2009-01-28 16:38:22 UTC
MRU->AMA: as described above, delete the empty paragraph following a table (by
Ctrl-Shift-Delete). After save&reload the paragraph will reappear.
